Saurashtra University was established on 23rd May, 1967. It is spread over 360 acres in Rajkot city of Gujarat. The jurisdiction of the University includes Amreli, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Morbi, Gir Somnath and Dwarka districts. It has 28 Post graduate Departments on its campus and 297 affiliated colleges.

Saurashtra University Admission Process

Admission to MA, M.Com, M.Li.Sc and M.P.Ed programs is granted on the basis of score in the qualifying examination.

Saurashtra University conducts its own entrance test to offer admission in M.Sc & MCA courses. For MBA, the students have to qualify in Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET).

Admission to M.Phil & Ph.D. programs is offered on the basis of score in university level entrance test followed by an interview. Apart from the university entrance test, the students can also apply on the basis of GATE, SLET score or CSIR (JRF).

The application form can be obtained from the admission office of the university or from the designated admission centers.
