India Post is set to close the registration process for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions on August 5, 2024. Interested candidates can apply through the official India Post website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The registration period began on July 15, 2024.
A correction window will be available from August 6 to August 8, 2024. This recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 vacancies within the organization.
To be eligible for GDS roles, candidates must have passed the 10th standard Secondary School Examination with marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized educational board in India.
Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old, though there are age relaxations for candidates from reserved categories.
To apply for the GDS recruitment, follow these steps:

- Click on the registration link on the homepage.
- Enter your details and submit.
- Log in to your account once registration is complete.
- Fill out the application form and pay the application fee.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
- Print a copy for your records.
The application fee is ₹100. However, it is waived for female candidates, SC/ST applicants, PwD candidates, and transwomen. The fee must be paid online.
