New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT 2025). Candidates can now access and download their scorecards by visiting the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT, using their application number and date of birth.
The CMAT 2025 exam took place on January 25, with candidates appearing in two shifts across 107 cities and 178 exam centres. A total of 74,012 candidates registered for the test, with 63,145 attending the Computer Based Test (CBT), resulting in an overall attendance rate of 85.32%.
To ensure fairness, the raw scores of candidates from different shifts were converted to NTA scores (percentiles) using a specific method. This conversion is based on the number of candidates in each session who scored equal to or less than the individual candidate. The formula used is:
NTA score for CMAT = (100 x Number of candidates in the session with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate) ÷ (Total number of candidates who appeared in the session)
After the exam, NTA released the CMAT answer key, along with the question paper and candidates’ recorded responses. The candidates were invited to raise any objections between January 31 and February 2. The objections were verified by subject experts and incorporated into the final answer key, which formed the basis of the results.
NTA clarified that if a candidate’s challenge was found to be correct, the answer key would be revised, and the revised key would apply to all candidates. However, candidates were not individually informed about the outcome of their challenges, and the final answer key prepared by the experts is considered final.
Regarding the CMAT 2025 marking scheme: each question carries four marks. For each correct answer, candidates receive +4 marks, while one mark is deducted for an incorrect answer. Unanswered questions are neither awarded nor penalized points. If multiple options are correct for a question, candidates who select any correct option are awarded full marks. In cases where a question is dropped, all candidates are given full marks for that question.
In the event of a tie, candidates with the same score are ranked based on the chronological order of their birthdates. If two candidates share the same rank, the next available rank will be skipped. For example, if two candidates are ranked 2nd, the following candidate will be ranked 4th, not 3rd.
