More About University of Agricultural Sciences
The Government of India set up Agricultural University Committee in 1961 which was headed by Dr Ralph Cummings of Rockefeller Foundation and gave a favourable report for the formation of Agricultural University at Hebbal. The Government of Mysore headed by Sri S Nijalingappa, CM, in April 1963 decided to establish University of Agricultural Sciences along the lines of Land Grant College system of USA and passes the University of Agricultural Sciences Bill.

University of Agricultural Sciences Admission Process
The basic eligibility for UG courses is to have passed 10 plus 2. The basic eligibility for PG courses is to have a bachelor’s degree. The basic eligibility for research programs is to have a master’s degree in the relevant field. Admission is done through Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for Farm Universities in Karnataka.
