More About Hidayatullah National Law University Raipur
Hidayatullah National Law University Raipur (HNLU) is a residential University and is sixth in the series of National Law Schools in India. It was stablished in 2003 with the motto of “Dharma Sansthapanartham” (for the sake of establishing the primacy of the laws of eternal values), it offers quality legal education to the students.

B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Under-Graduate Program [B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)

Post-Graduate Program (One-Year LL.M.)
HNLU offers one-year LL.M. Program spread over three trimesters. The LL.M. program is designed to inculcate research skills and analytical abilities in students. In addition to classroom training imparted through innovative teaching methods, the LL.M. Program is focused on self-learning and research conducted by the students under the guidance of the faculty members.
Ph.D. Program
Ph.D. Program in Law has commenced at HNLU w.e.f. academic session 2014-15 wherein admission of scholars is made strictly on the basis of admission test conducted by the University separately.
HNLU Admission Process
B.A.LL.B. (Honours)
Admission to the B.A.LL.B. (Honours) Program shall exclusively be based on the performance of the candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, in order to be eligible to appear in CLAT, a candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10 2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognized Board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) and should be below 20 years of age as on 1st July 2015 (22 years in case of SC/ST and PWD candidates).
Candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the 10 plus 2 examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test. However, such candidates are required to have passed the qualifying examination at the time of their admission and must be able to submit proofs in support of their claims.
LL.M. Program
Admission to the LL.M. Program shall exclusively be based on the performance of the candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, in order to be eligible to appear in CLAT, a candidate should have obtained a LL.B./B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC and ST candidates).
Ph.D. (Law)
A Ph.D. (Law) Programme scholar may be allowed to supplicate his/her Ph.D. thesis after the completion of two Academic Calendar Years of the University from the date of his/her Registration. However, no Ph.D. scholar may be allowed to supplicate his/her Ph.D. thesis later than four Academic Calendar Years from the date of his/her Registration.
