More About Bihar Agricultural University
The Bihar Agricultural University is the second agricultural university to be established on August 5, 2010, the main campus of which is located in erstwhile Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour.Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary science and diary technology are currently being taught in the University. It is one of the first State Agricultural Universities to have started Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Learning to train faculty members in Teaching Technology.
The main objective of Bihar Agricultural University is to improve the quality of farming and agricultural techniques of the state thereby bringing in qualitative changes in the lives of the farmers.
Bihar Agricultural University Courses
The University has a strong research programme which are carried out in different colleges namely Colleges of Agriculture at Sabour, Buxar, Saharsa, Purnea and Kishanganj; College of Horticulture at Noorsarai, Nalanda; Bihar Veterinary College and Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology at Patna. The main themes that the University is currently working upon are:
