Cotton College State University is located in Panbazar area of Guwahati. It was Cotton College, the premier college of Assam and eastern India, that has now become a full-fledged university under the name Cotton University in January 2017. The university caters the educational needs of students all over the northeast. Cotton University aims to become a world-class institution, excelling in both research and teaching, developing knowledge and skills with an emphasis on this part of our country, providing broad-based education to students to take on the challenges of tomorrow via modern curricula, learning and assessment methods, upholding the highest ethical standards, and providing a clean, efficient and transparent administration.
