GIET University Admission Process
M.Tech
Eligibility Criteria For admission into First Year Master in Technology programme are:
- GATE qualified candidates
- Non-GATE qualified candidates, having CGPA 6.5 (10 point scale) or 60% marks in B.Tech/BE examination are required to appear at an On-line Test.
- GATE qualified candidates, pass or appearing in MCA examination from a recognized university with CGPA 6.5 or 60% marks, eligible only for M. Tech in Computer Science.
B.Tech
- A pass in +2 Science with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science
- A minimum of 45% (Aggregate) in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry /Biology /Biotechnology /Computer Science is a must.
- For admission into 1st year B.Tech programme a student has to appear Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) conducted by CBSE.
- Phil
Candidates for admission to the M.Phil programme shall have a Master’s degree or a
professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory
regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC-7 point
scale ( or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system followed) or an equivalent
degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency
which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under law
in its home country or any other statutory in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or
assuring quality and standards of educational institutions
Ph.D
Master’s Degree holders satisfying with at least 60% marks in aggregate in engineering streams
and with at least 55% marks in aggregate in Science & Humanities or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the
UGC-7 point scale ( or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system followed) or an
equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and
Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or
incorporated under law in its home country or any other statutory in that country for the purpose of
assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions
