More About National University of Study and Research in Law
The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) in Ranchi is the fourteenth national law university of India. It was established in 2010. The courses in NUSRL have been designed in such a way that it can be in tune with other sciences. Their courses not only conforms to the standard of the Bar Council of India but also has strong linkages with technological institutions like BIT Mesra.

The university has a semester system i.e. 2 semesters in an academic year which includes 5 CAT (Continuous Assessment Test) for each subject, out of which 3 are planned tests and 2 are unplanned ones.
Undergraduate Programmes
BA LLB – Admission to this programme is done through CLAT rankings. It is a five year integrated undergraduate educational programme, the main objective of which is to provide extensive knowledge base to the students of law.
Apart from the core law subjects, the B.A. (LL.B.) programme also gives opportunity to the students to learn various humanities subjects such as Philosophy, Sociology, Economics, History and English.
Currently the University offers honors specialization in five areas, namely Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Rights and International Public Law and is going to increase the number of specializations offered by it in the B.A.(LL.B.) programme, in the coming years.
