West Bengal State University was established in 2008 at Barasat, North 24 Parganas. The university aims to create a flow of quality human resource capable of meeting scientific , technological and social challenges of today and tomorrow.
West Bengal State University Courses
Ph. D. and/or M. Phil. Courses conducted by Departments of Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce and Management and Sciencesin accordance with the UGC model curriculum since 2011.The University has had research collaborations with research institutes such as Bose Institute, Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), Indian Association for the Cultivation of Sciences (IACS), Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Calcutta, Jadavpur, Vidyasagar, Tripura and other Universities, National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune, IUCA, and many more. Collaborations with different foreign university and institutes also exist with the different departments of WBSU. The University has filed for two patents in collaboration with Bose Institute, Kolkata.
