Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the registration deadline for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2026. Candidates can now submit their applications until October 20, 2025, through the official website – jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
To register, applicants must first sign up on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) by providing their name, a valid email ID, active mobile number, and a password. After registration, an Enrollment ID and OTP will be sent to the candidate’s registered email and mobile number.

The IIT JAM 2026 exam will be conducted on February 15, 2026, in two sessions as a computer-based test for seven subjects at the undergraduate level. The paper will include Multiple Choice (MCQ), Multiple Select (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Candidates may appear for one or two test papers.
The application fee is ₹1000 for one paper and ₹1350 for two papers for female/SC/ST/PwD candidates, and ₹2000 for one paper and ₹2700 for two papers for all other categories.
Applicants can make corrections to details such as category, gender, exam city, or date of birth by paying an additional fee of ₹300. They can also add or change test papers by November 10, 2025, with the same correction fee.
