Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the date for the OPSC Odisha Civil Services Prelims Exam 2023. The prelims exam is scheduled for October 27, 2024. According to the notice, “The Commission has decided to conduct the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt. No. 20 of 2023-24, tentatively on 27.10.2024 (Sunday). The detailed program will be notified later. Candidates are advised to visit the Commission website at http://opsc.gov.in for further updates.”
The prelims exam will comprise two compulsory General Studies papers, with objective-type questions, each carrying 200 marks. Each paper will have a duration of 2 hours. Candidates who qualify in the prelims will be eligible to appear for the main examination. The number of candidates selected for the main exam will be up to 12 times the total number of vacancies.
Additionally, OPSC has released a list of 123 rejected candidates, with reasons provided against each name. This recruitment drive aims to fill 399 vacancies. The registration process ran from January 18 to February 16, 2024. For more details, candidates can refer to the official OPSC website.
