Chennai: Online registrations for the Joint admission test for Masters (JAM) 2024 will begin on September 5, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), organising institute of the test this year, informed through a press statement. Candidates who want to appear in the exam have to apply on jam.iitm.ac.in once the window opens.
JAM 2024 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test in seven papers: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS, and Physics (PH) in over 100 cities across the country, IIT Madras informed.
Candidates who have an undergraduate degree or currently studying in the final year of the UG programmes are eligible to apply for JAM 2024. There is no age limit to appear in JAM 2024. Foreign nationals with Indian degrees are also eligible to apply for the test but admission will be subject to the policy of the participating institute.

Examination date: Sunday, February 11, 2024
Through JAM 2024, about 3,000 seats in various postgraduate programmes at IITs and over 2,000 seats at IISc, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, and DIAT through will be filled.
